The reluctant candidate

I went to a Barack Obama event recently where I was fortunate enough to meet a candidate for Idaho's second Congressional District- Debbie Holmes.

Debbie approached us post speech:

"Was that speech okay? You know the wind was blowing.. it was hard to read.. the megaphone was awkward."

"Yeah, it was great."

"I mean- I knew my speech."

"..."

"You know, the wind was blowing. It was just hard to read"

"Yeah you did fine"

"Oh, I'm Debbie Holmes by the way. Here take one of my flyers..."

"Yeah of course."

"Be sure to check out my crappy website."

"..."

"God, it's windy."
